Thank you for considering The Prince of Wales pub in Hoath, near Canterbury, as your wedding reception venue.
Our pub offers full exclusive hire, including the garden, for £750 for a 4-hour celebration. If you wish to extend your reception, additional time can be arranged at a flat rate of £150 per hour.
A typical wedding reception includes a sit-down meal lasting 2–3 hours, followed by time to celebrate with family and friends in our traditional pub and garden setting.
A 3-course sit-down meal (£40 per person) can be arranged in the restaurant, which seats up to 45 guests. The bar area provides additional capacity for 24 guests if needed.
For outdoor events, a third-party marquee can be hired for the garden, accommodating up to 70 guests with access to the garden bar.
A buffet option (from £15 per person) is available for groups of up to 100 guests in the restaurant.
We offer flexible drink options to suit your celebration:
Full access to our bar, with the choice of running a tab or allowing guests to purchase their own drinks.
Wine and drinks packages available for sit-down meals (quotes provided on request).
Complimentary tea and coffee service.
Use of our outdoor garden bar, if required.
Please note: Due to our premises licence, guests cannot bring their own alcohol. All drinks must be purchased through the Prince of Wales pub.
If you would like live music, a musician, DJ or band can be arranged at an additional cost, or you are welcome to organise your own. If using the restaurant and you wish to have a dance after your meal, tables can be rearranged to create a dance floor. Guests would need to move to the bar or garden area while this is set up.
Live music is permitted until 10pm on weekdays and until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays in line with our licence.
Flowers, decorations, and table dressing can be arranged at an additional cost. We also work with a local wedding planner who can take care of all styling needs. Alternatively, you are welcome to handle the decorations yourself on the day or supply them for us to set out, at your own cost.
We have a small car park with space for up to 8 cars. If full, on-street parking is available nearby, but we kindly ask guests to park considerately.
To ease parking, we recommend car sharing or using a local taxi service. Trusted firms include Herne Cars and Longleys.
If you are wanting to book with us, we need at least 2 months’ notice and a deposit of £250.00 to secure your booking.
(Bands or musicians perform for 2 hours. Music hire is subject to availability and date)
We can decorate the tables and dress the venue. Or alternatively, Alternatively, you are welcome to decorate the venue to your liking, at your own cost.
